ARCADIA 22 | November 2022

Here's with the newest awesome-stuffed issue of ARCADIA

Here’s what’s inside:

Cover Art by Martin Sobr

This cover evokes a classic dungeon crawl with adventurers beset by the forces of evil, delving deeper one level (L-E-V-E-L) at a time! Can you spot the hidden rogue?

Heroic Champions by Will Doyle with art from Patrik Hell

Scheduling is the worst final boss—but one that’s easier with a smaller party! If you’re interested in playing or running a one-on-one game, these classes—the heroic warrior, the heroic spellcaster, and the heroic trickster—are designed (and thoroughly playtested) to be as capable as a party of four adventurers without being too complicated. Whether you’re a grumpy solo warrior accompanied only by their loyal steed or an intrepid thief who works alone, the heroic classes make fifth edition duet play easy and epic.

Parentage and Upbringing by V.J. Harris with art from Bruno Machado

These customizable ancestry options for psionic gemstone dragonborn and fiendish tieflings let you mix and match to reflect your character’s unique lineage, with traits like Cosmic Breath, Spelldrain, and Winged Embrace. The connections to specific devils and demons provide great story seeds for a GM, and the dragonborn psionic powers offer a sneak peek at the upcoming The Talent and Psionics!

Tools of the Trapmaster by Scott Fitzgerald Gray with art from Alejandro Pacheco

This treasure chest of magic items, created by the master thief Lynseda the Trapmaster, includes the secret pool canteen, the doom knocker, and a cookie jar that definitely doesn’t release a swarm of rats (don’t worry about it). I want to give a bunch of these to my players just to see what creative uses they devise—and by “give” I mean “make them fall afoul of.”
